The purpose of the Family Crisis Intervention Center is to advocate and support social change that will result in non-violent relationships, homes, and communities. FCIC envisions a world where everyone has the support and the right to live a safe life free of sexual and domestic violence.
As a domestic violence and rape crisis center, the Family Crisis Intervention Center provides free and confidential services to women, men, and children who are victims of domestic and sexual violence. Our catchment area includes the West Virginia Counties of Calhoun, Jackson, Pleasants, Ritchie, Roane, Tyler, Wirt, and Wood.
From July 2018 through June 2019, FCIC provided:
* 9,585.75 hours of service to 2,179 victims of sexual and/or domestic violence
* Crisis Advocacy and information and referrals to 733 hotline calls
* 4,220 total shelter nights
* 373 child visits and 1,285 child exchanges
